NAAG FORENSIC PC is an independent agency that provides forensic pathology services to the criminal justice community. Our forensic autopsy service proudly provides autopsy services to a broad swath of California's Sheriff-Coroner community. We also provide consultation services to prosecutors, defense attorneys and the child protection community.

• You will be based in gorgeous San Diego, CA
• You will perform no more than 300 autopsy equivalents in a calendar year
• You issue reports in a simple and timely fashion using our paperless autopsy reporting system and state-of-the-art case management system
• While you are an independent practitioner, you are part of a forensic pathology community that prevents you from being isolated; you are part of a peer review and educational program that should make you feel supported and professionally fulfilled
• Follow our well-articulated and impeccably documented workflows and standard operating procedures meant to promote uniformity in group practice

NOTE

We are highly supportive of professional growth and development -- pathologists wishing to establish subspecialty consultation practices in neuropathology, cardiac pathology, pediatric pathology, forensic radiology (including PMCT), etc. will be encouraged, and productivity is rewarded by decreasing your annual autopsy requirements or increasing your salary.

• Must have an unrestricted license to practice medicine/osteopathy in the State of California by the time you start work
• MD or DO from accredited medical school
• Board certification from the ABP or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in AP, or AP/CP
• Completed a recognized fellowship in forensic pathology with board certification by examination from the ABP (you may be board eligible in forensic pathology so long as you plan to write and pass the FP board exam within two years of commencing employment)
• Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
• Have the capacity to work in highly stressful and demanding environments and situations, and, with class, handle time periods and people that may be very challenging
• Ability to successfully complete a Background Investigation (including criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening)
• Must be able to legally work in the USA

• Competitive Compensation: Salary range of $350,000 to $500,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.

• Six (6) weeks of paid annual leave ("vacation time").
